Something wrong? Ask a person.

CipherBreaker is made by one developer. Email is the only support channel, and it reaches me directly — there is no ticket queue in between.

It helps to include your iPhone model, the iOS version, and what you were doing when it went wrong. A screenshot helps more than either.

Answers to the common ones

Where is my progress stored?

On your device, and only there. CipherBreaker has no accounts and no server: your tokens, unlocked modes, streak, stats and League standing live in the app's own storage. That is also the limit of it — deleting the app deletes them, and there is no copy for me to restore.

My tokens reset after an update.

This could happen when a device moved from a newer build to an older one — a TestFlight build back to the App Store version, for instance. The older app could not read the newer save file and started from defaults. Version 1.0.2 fixes it: a save file from a newer build now keeps the wallet, the paid mode unlocks, the purchase history and Remove Ads instead of resetting.

Because the data is local, a balance already lost cannot be recovered unless you have a device backup from before it happened. Purchased token packs are consumable and cannot be restored by the App Store.

I bought Remove Ads and it is gone.

Open SHOP and tap Restore Purchases. Remove Ads is a one-time purchase tied to your Apple Account, so it restores on any device you sign in with. Token packs are consumable and are not part of a restore.

What does Remove Ads actually remove?

The interstitial that can appear between matches. Rewarded video stays available on purpose — it is how you earn tokens without paying — and it is always opt-in. No ad ever plays without you asking for it.

How are hints priced?

From the match's own stake. Revealing a digit costs what the match stakes; a probe — "is this digit in the code at all?" — costs about half; High & Low sells a narrowed range instead. One of each kind per match, and a hinted win pays exactly what an unhinted win pays.

The Daily puzzle, and streaks.

One puzzle a day, four digits and ten guesses. Miss a day and the streak resets; there is no way to buy it back, which is the point of keeping one.

What data leaves my phone?

Ad requests to Google AdMob (non-personalized — no tracking permission is ever requested), purchases through Apple, and anonymous gameplay and crash reports through Firebase. No account, no personal profile, no user content. The privacy policy spells out each one.

How do I delete my data?

Delete the app. That removes everything it stored, and there is nothing held on a server to ask about. If you want the analytics and crash records from your device removed as well, email me and I will take care of it.
